Bluebeam price in 2026, and what it really costs on a Mac

Bluebeam is subscription only since Revu 20 left sale. Here is what each plan costs, which one you need for takeoff, and what it adds up to on a Mac once you include Parallels and Windows.

Short answer

Bluebeam costs US$260 to US$590 per user per year in 2026. For takeoffs you need Core, at US$330, because Basics has no counts or perimeters. On a Mac, add a Parallels subscription and a Windows licence. Over three years, Core on a Mac comes to about US$1,290 plus Windows. A one-off Mac app costs a fraction of that, if it covers the tools you use.

The extra costs on a Mac

Revu is a Windows app. To run it on a Mac, Bluebeam recommends a Windows virtual machine. That adds:

The browser version, Bluebeam on the web, needs none of that and is included in every plan. It suits review and comments; Bluebeam itself points takeoffs to the virtual machine.

What it adds up to

For one person on a Mac, using the cheapest listed Parallels plan. Windows is extra in every Revu row.

US dollars, rounded to the nearest dollar. Assumes today's prices hold. Blueprint's Founder licence is US$19 for the first 100 customers, then US$79, and covers two Macs and every 1.x update. Future major versions (2.0 and later) may be a separate purchase, as the EULA explains.

When the subscription is worth it

Bluebeam earns its price if you use what only Bluebeam does:

If your work is measuring and marking up your own drawings, and sending PDFs to people who use Bluebeam, you are paying for a lot you don't use. That is the gap a one-off Mac app fills. The alternatives comparison lists the options, including where each falls short.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Bluebeam per year in 2026?

Bluebeam lists four plans, billed annually per user: Basics US$260, Core US$330, Complete US$440, and Max at an introductory US$590.

Which Bluebeam plan do I need for takeoffs?

Core or higher. Basics measures length and area only. Core adds perimeter, count, angle and volume. Complete adds Dynamic Fill and Quantity Link to Excel.

Can I still buy a perpetual Bluebeam licence?

No. Bluebeam stopped selling Revu 20, its last perpetual version, on 30 September 2023. Revu 20 reaches end of life on 31 December 2026.

Does Bluebeam cost more on a Mac?

Yes, if you want the full desktop app. On a Mac, Revu runs in a Windows virtual machine, so you also pay for virtualisation software such as Parallels (plans listed from US$99.99 a year) and a Windows licence. Bluebeam on the web is included in the plan price but has fewer takeoff tools.

Will the Bluebeam Max price go up?

Bluebeam says the US$590 introductory price is locked through your renewal in 2027, and later renewals move to a standard price it has not yet announced.
